Encourage them to think broadly - aliens do not have to be like humans at all eg they could have 6 limbs, have separate "mouths" for eating and talking, see in X-ray mode etc.

1) The different animals on Earth have big differences already. What are they?

2) If the Aliens can fly without planes, what might they look like?

3) If the Aliens can read each other's thoughts, what might they look like?

There is no right answer here! Paint names and colour wheels can give some inspiration here eg a type of grey might be called "Elephants Breath!"

1) Try to see the new colour in your mind. Say the first thing you think of?

2) If your colour is in between others, can you combine their names together?

3) What object would look good in your colour?

This was a real life problem faced at a skyscraper with many companies, where lunch time queues for the lifts were irritating employees. Ask your child to think creatively about solutions for this?

1) You could add more lifts. What other ways can you increase "supply"?

2) How can you reduce "demand" i.e. get less people to be using the lifts?

3) If the real problem was not wasting time, but employee irritation, how does that change your solution?
